Planet Spaghetti Western (we’ll call it ‘the planet’) is a special project by The Spaghetti Western Database (SWDB), started in April 2010 by the SWDB’s founder and executive editor, Sebastian Haselbeck.
About the founder: Sebastian runs a number of hobby projects. In his real life, he is managing director of the Internet and Society Collaboratory in Berlin, and also works in business development for the Austrian startup company Lingohub, specializing in software localization.
Update March 2013: The Planet has been relaunched with a new concept, please follow our updates to learn more.
What it used to be: Before March 2013, The Planet was a blog aggregator, that means it automatically pulled previews from a number of friendly blogs and published those to our channels, sending readers then directly to these blogs. After a careful cost/benefit analysis, a decision was made to cease that project and instead reorient the Planet as an actual multi-author magazine with editorial focus and own content.
What happens to blogs previously syndicated? Syndicated blogs will remain our affiliates. More details on what comes next will be announced soon.
